                   Selection of indexable inserts and machining parameters at  turning.
          Selection of indexable insert and machining parameters is determineted by following input data:





                           Workpiece          - workpiece material, - workpiece shape, - dimension and shape accuracy,
   IV.                                        - machined surface roughness



                                               - power, - spindel speed,
                           Machine tool
                                               - rigidity of the Machine - Clamping system - Workpiece - Tool system.




          Depending on machining task, described by input data, we can select approprialy: shape of insert, chipbreaker,
          cutting grade and machinning parameters like - depth of cutting, feed and cutting speed.
          The selection proceeds as follows :

          A. Determination of machining type.

          B. Selection of insert fixing system we make in accordance with recommendations of
              the technical information - see toolholders page No. 108.


          C. Selection of insert shape.

          The selection of insert shape is determinated by the shape of machined material. After selection of cutting edge
          angle  K ,  which depends on a type of toolholder, we can decide about insert shape, choosing from square insert

          (S), triangular (T), round (R), rombic (C,D,V) and trigonal (W). If workpiece profile is not closely defined,
          it is reasonable to decrease tool costs by applying inserts with maximum number of edges and large top angle ε  ,

          for example square inserts (S), as the first choiće, then trigonal (W), triangular (T), rombic (C), rombic (D).
          When machining system is not rigid enough, a value of cutting edge angle K should be close to K .
